• Rānui consists of 20,608 solar panels which are arranged in 736 tables of 28 panels each.
  • Each panel has potential to generate 710 watts of electricity.
  • Rānui has the capacity to generate 12.6 megawatts AC.
  • 100,000 nuts and bolts hold the structures together.
  • The panels are mounted on 10,762 piles which are buried 2.5 metres deep.
  • Three central inverters, each weighing 14 tonnes, will convert the Direct Current (DC) generated to Alternating current (AC) which will then feed into Marlborough Lines network.
  • There are six hectares of panels sitting on 10.5 hectares on a 16 hectare block.
  • Around 100 km of cables connects all of the components of the farm.
