The Rānui Solar Farm will generate up to 12.6 MW of clean, renewable energy by the summer of 2025/2026 – that’s enough electricity for 5000 homes.

Marlborough, New Zealand, is a province where innovation and enterprise saw the development of the award-winning wine industry. Likewise, Rānui Solar Farm combines the region’s sunny climate (2769 sunshine hours in 2024) with technology and expertise to benefit the province.

Solar generation adds another form of clean, renewable energy to meet demand and will mean that Marlborough is less reliant on the national grid supply, thus improving the province’s security of electricity supply at a time of growing demand.

Rānui Solar Ltd is a division  of the Marlborough-based Flight Group.
